singing touches our deepest yearning to give voice to the spirit within

Simple Gifts
Community Choir is a friendly and inviting group of singers who love and enjoy music, wholesome spirit, and fun. We sing love songs, swing, gospel, folk, and
like to stretch ourselves with a bit of
classical. We hold two singing seasons
per year, from September-January and February-June, during which we give a total of three public performances.

Simple Gifts Community Choir is for those who are looking for some heart-warming singing. We welcome men and women who are new to choirs, or experienced
singers who are looking for a choir that is not too demanding of their time and commitments. Singers help one another out, and sometimes even practice together with their section tapes.
'New' singers or choir beginners are welcome to come and try us out during the months of
September and February. Practices are Tuesday evenings, 7:30pm–9:30pm. See our schedule for this season's start and finish dates, and the location of practices and events.

We hold two concerts (January and June), from which the net proceeds are donated to Sheway (a community Pregnancy Outreach Program for women and children), and host a heart-warming
Christmas carolling evening (December) for the Lookout Homeless Shelter. We collect goods and extra
funds for these organizations at these events as well. Private outreach performances are also given at a few locations, such as Pearson Hospital, the VGH Cancer Ward, and retirement homes.
